Are you a senior planning to attend a University, College or trade school in the state of Oregon? Four renewable scholarships will be issued for the 2018-2019 academic year. Each scholarship is worth $4,000 per year for a total commitment of $16,000 per student.  To be considered, all applicants must submit a completed application online, which includes a one-page personal essay and two letters of recommendation. Do you want to win a $15 dollar dutch bros gift card? Do you or someone you know have a prom dress or prom accessories that are not used anymore? Sprague will be doing its 2nd Annual prom dress and accessory drive to help collect items for local non-profit Abby’s Closet. You can help by bringing items that include prom dresses, accessories or cash. We will be collecting these items during the weeks of March 12th through April 5th. Items donated will be worth 1 entry in the drawing, cash or 5 items will double your entries and 10 items/ $20 or more dollars will triple your entries. Attention all students: Leadership, Spanish and French national honor societies are partnering together to hold a cultural diversity potluck! The potluck will be on Friday, April 20th from 2:30 – 3:30 in the commons. All students are welcome. The cost is either bringing a cultural dish to share or $5 if you don’t bring a dish to share. Sign-up sheets to bring food are posted outside Mr. Schueller’s, Mrs. Downs, and Mrs. Lentz’s rooms. We hope to see you all there to celebrate all of the diversity at Sprague!

Attention Seniors: April starts the celebration for the Class of 2018.  Students and staff are encourage wear their favorite college and career gear!  All seniors are encouraged to participate in the Pantheon.  There will be prizes, photos, and snacks for you.

Beginning Thursday, All Seniors will start to report their college or career choice on the 2018 Post High School Plans Form.  This form will be placed online and we encourage all graduating seniors to participate.  This form can be filled out multiple times to include your college or career choice and any scholarship awards.  Please see Ms. Dunn or Ms. Munson if you have any questions.  The Deadline for this information is May 14th.

This week’s scholarship spotlight is the Oregon Jaycees Scholarship.   This one time grant will be awarded to a graduating Oregon high school senior.  Applicants must have at least a 3.75 unweighted GPA to qualify.  For More Information, please see Ms. Dunn.

All those interested in playing volleyball next season, spring practices begin Tuesday April 10th and run every Tuesday and Thursday 3pm-4:30pm thru the end of June!  Be there!

The Oly's had their 2nd GVC match yesterday at Salem Golf club. The boy's came in second behind West Salem. Huge improvements were made from the 1st league match. Our next match is next Monday at McNary Golf course.

Attention all students: On Thursday, April 19th, during cultural diversity week, Sprague will be hosting a guest speaker who will present stories of survival during the holocaust. Seats are limited and you must fill out an application to attend. You can pick up an application in room 142 (Mr. Schueller’s room) or the athletic office. Please see Mr. Schueller in room 142 if you have any questions. 4/13
