The 17th Annual African American Youth Leadership Conference is set for May 24th at Corban University.  Parent Permission Forms can be turned in starting Wednesday April 17th.  Students can pick up their permission forms with Ms. Dunn in the ASPIRE

Thursday, April 26th is the last day to submit leadership applications for next year. Applications can be found in Mr. Schueller’s room, 142. 4/26

Boys basketball open gym begins today after school for anyone interested in playing summer basketball.

Congratulation to Sprague’s Speech and Debate team for their award winning performances this last weekend at the OSAA State Championships held at Western Oregon University. Olympian speakers competed against students from 64 schools across the state in 14 speaking and debating events. The following students earned individual awards: Lindsey Williams and Santiago Monleon tied for 9th in Lincoln Douglas Debate. Geovanny Tolentino and Deepak Illango tied for 9th in Parliamentary Debate. Eden McCall and Arianna Martin tied for 9th in Public Forum Debate. Emma Michaux was a semi-finalist in Expository Speaking, Megan Baus was a semi-finalist in Dramatic Interpretation. Alyssa Azar was a semi-finalist in Humorous Interpretation. Francesca Thompson placed 4th in Poetry Interpretation and 3rd in Prose Interpretation. Chauncey Koulibali placed 3rd in Dramatic Interpretation and 3rd in Poetry Interpretation. Ramon Martinez placed 2nd in After Dinner Speaking. And Lindsey Williams placed 2nd in Impromptu Speaking and is your State Champion in Extemporaneous Speaking. The team placed 3rd Overall in 6A competition. Awesome job Oly Speechies!

Attention graduating Olympians: Tine is running out for grabbing a Senior Speech application for this year’s graduation ceremonies. You can try out for an opportunity to peak at Thursday’s awards ceremony or Friday night’s commencement ceremonies. Applications are outside of Mr. Curry’s door, room 133. Applications are due to Mr. Curry by May 4th. Take this opportunity to add your voice to this year’s graduation celebration. Anyone interested in running for class office – today’s meeting has been postponed until Thursday at lunch in room 142 (Mr. Schueller’s room). If you would like to run for class office, Thursday’s meeting is mandatory. 4/26
