Students…Please join the walkout today to demand responsible gun policies to protect our citizens. Students will exit class at 10 AM today and drive or carpool to the Oregon State Capitol here in Salem. We will have speeches, marching, and later join a town hall with legislators on the critical issue of Gun Policy Reform.
We want to emphasize that this is not a Sprague-endorsed or sanctioned event.  If you choose to walk out, it will be an unexcused absence.  Classes will take place as usual with teachers instructing and students learning.  To be responsible, we ask that you sign an exit log so Sprague staff can best account for all students that day to ensure the safety of all. You can sign this log on the day of or beforehand in the main office. Again, it will be an unexcused absence and school staff will not be supervising the walkout at the State Capitol.
If you would like more information regarding the walkout to the Capitol today, contact students Hayden Hemeon, Geovanny Tolentino, Max Laine, or Alyx Hall for more details.  Join us to Stand up and speak out. The time is now for change. 4/20
