Attention Juniors: If you are interested in taking the PSAT test
on October 10th to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship please
register for the test. Pay your fee of $16.00 to the bookkeeper prior to
October 3rd, and $20.00 after. You may also pay online through the
Salem-Keizer website under Parents. The last day to register is October 9th.
Release
Cards: If you have a release period please come to the Main Office and sign up
for a release card. Once you sign up – wait
a day - and then return to the Main Office for your actual

year, there are hundreds of known attempts to remove books from bookstores,
libraries and schools. That’s thousands of lost opportunities to explore
ideas that fuel understanding. Words have power and access to diverse ideas
makes all of us more powerful. Celebrate the freedom to read by reading your
favorite banned book during Banned Books Week
Attention
all 18 year olds! You are eligible to vote.
The Voter Registration Deadline is Tue., October 16 to be able to vote in the
Oregon General Election in November. Please go to RocktheVote.org and
register today!
On Wednesday, October
10th the Daughters of the American Revolution will be
conducting an essay contest. Any senior or early graduate who is interested in
participating in the essay contest, please contact Ms. Dunn in the ASPIRE

Students, please be aware of the
following change to all home Football games:
All students must enter through
the main stadium gates. Students will no
longer be allowed to enter through the sophomore lot gate. Backpacks, outside
food and drinks will be prohibited as well. 9/28

girls soccer program at 11:25 today. They travel over to Bend to take on

Students, this is Constitution
month. We honor this month the signing
of the US Constitution on September 17th, 1787. Our legislature in the State of Oregon has
passed a law that this important document is acknowledged by our schools in
this important month.
Here is the preamble to this

We the people of the United States ,
in order to form a more
perfect union,
establish justice,
insure domestic
tranquility,
provide for the common
defense,
promote the general welfare,
and secure the blessings
of liberty to ourselves
and our posterity,
do ordain and establish
this Constitution for
the United States of America.
