Attention Juniors: If you are interested in taking the PSAT test
on October 10th to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship please
register for the test. Pay your fee of $16.00 to the bookkeeper prior to
October 3rd, and $20.00 after. You may also pay online through the
Salem-Keizer website under Parents. The last day to register is October 9th.
Release
Cards: If you have a release period please come to the Main Office and sign up
for a release card. Once you sign up – wait
a day - and then return to the Main Office for your actual
release card. 9/28
Banning
books silences stories and discussions. Censorship succeeds when no one
talks about it. A book challenge is an attempt to remove or restrict a
book. A Ban is the removal of a book based on content. Raise your voice
and speak up for banned and challenged books.
Reminder
to all prospective graduates of 2019 & 2020, you and your family are
invited to this year’s FAFSA Night on tonight at 6 p.m. in the library. 9/26

Starting
this week, Recruiters from the each US military branch will begin visiting our
campus during lunchtime. 9/28
On Wednesday, October
10th the Daughters of the American Revolution will be
conducting an essay contest. Any senior or early graduate who is interested in
participating in the essay contest, please contact Ms. Dunn in the ASPIRE
Center. 10/10
Attention
all 18 year olds! You are eligible to vote.
The Voter Registration Deadline is Tue., October 16 to be able to vote in the
Oregon General Election in November. Please go to RocktheVote.org and
register today!
Students, please be aware of the following change to all
home Football games:
All students must enter through the main stadium
gates. Students will no longer be
allowed to enter through the sophomore lot gate. Backpacks, outside food and
drinks will be prohibited as well. 9/28

Orders: Seniors – if you missed Jostens yesterday –
please turn in your diploma card to the main office – and then mail your order
in or complete the order online. Juniors – you can do the same – you can
mail your order in – or order online. Thank you!
