Sprague is hosting a
fall festival on Wednesday, October 17th in the stadium from 5-8pm!
There will be food, free donuts, games, and more! Following the event, there
will be an outdoor movie night in the stadium for Sprague students only. We
will be showing a Halloween movie, so bring your friends and blankets to watch
on the turf. The movie starts at 8:30, but show up early to get a spot and grab
some food. Event is free – canned food donations for our thanksgiving food
drive are encouraged at the gate. See you there! 10/17
Students,
the pit is closed during lunchtime unless you are working with a teacher inside
of a classroom. Please be sure that you are using appropriate spaces during
lunch including the commons, and other approved locations. 10/16
All students
interested in swimming for Sprague as a winter sport, the new Sprague swim
coach will be here on October 18th at lunchtime (10:40am) to meet
with you. Food will be provided, so bring your friends. The meeting
will be held in the Oly Forum. Swimming is a no cut sport and no previous
experience is needed to participate. Come one, come all. 10/18

Congratulations
to Sprague’s Speech and Debate team for their outstanding performance at last
weekend’s Wilson HS Speech and Debate Invitational. 384 students from 28
schools participated in 11 speaking and 4 debate events. The following
Olympians won individual honors. Liv Harrison placed 2nd & Paige Schmelling
placed 6th in Novice Division Poetry Interpretation. Sarah Shewaye placed 2nd
in Speaker Points in Novice Division Lincoln-Douglas Debate. Emma Michaux
placed 6th in Varsity Division Prose Interpretation. Alyssa Azar placed 2nd in
Varsity Division Poetry Interpretation. And Francesca Thompson placed 1st in
Varsity Division Program Oral Interpretation. Great job Oly Speechies!
