Got spare change? AVID is having a coin drive for the children of the Salem Hospital.  Please support us by donating your spare change into the jars/boxes located in your 2^nd period classroom or the library.  We are also accepting new and like new toys and clothing, for these larger donations, please drop them off in room 147.  Thank you! 2/21

Attention Youth and Gov students: there is a meeting in Mr. Nickel’s room at lunch on Tuesday, February 20^th. Please bring your bill with you as you will be submitting it at the meeting. 2/20

Girls tennis tryouts will start February 26, at 2:40 on the outside tennis courts. All players interested in tennis should stop by the athletic office and pick up an informational sheet. 2/23

If you are planning to participate in Tennis, Golf, Track, Baseball or Softball, you will need to get your athletic participation packets into the office this Thursday. Tryouts start next Monday, if your packet has not been turned in, YOU DO NOT TRYOUT!

The Sprague Dance Team competed at Sheldon high school in Eugene on Saturday, February 17 and placed second in the 6A division. In addition, 7 dancers placed in the individual drill down competitions.  The winners in the novice division were freshmen Marisa Bradley, Sonya Frontino, Natalie Venegas, Emily Pierson and Allison Clements. In the advanced division, the winners were seniors Emily Newton and Hannah Li.  Congratulations to all of the Olyannes!

Way to Go OLYS! The Swim Team had a 7th place finish at State..the highest in a decade!

Colby Evenson 6th place 200 IM and 3rd in the 500 Free 
Ian Shultz 10th 100 Fly and 3rd in 100 Breaststroke 
Alexis Smith 6th 100 Free and 5th 50 Free

Congratulations to your Sprague Wrestlers who trophied at the State Tournament this past weekend with a 3^rd place finish. The Olys had 7 state placers and tied a school record with 4 state finalists.  Senior Bo Joklur defeated his opponent in overtime to win his first state title at 106 pounds.  Sophomore Santos Cantu earned his second state title at 195 pounds in dominant fashion with a 13-4 major decision over his opponent. Juniors Daniel McClung and Landon Davis went 4-1 on the weekend to finish state runners-up.  Also placing at the state tournament were seniors Michael Murphy (4^th at 145 pounds), Nathan Quist (5^th at 145 pounds), and sophomore Colby Hemmert (5^th at 120 pounds). Luke Merzenich and Dalton Lethco-Willis finished in the top 8 of their respective weight classes.  Congratulations Sprague Winter Warriors on another successful season!”
