This week is National Computer Science Week.  Sprague High School is taking part in Hour of Code.  Each day this week we will be highlighting some information in the announcements.  Take some time to read the posters in the hall.  Did you know that Computer Science is foundational.  Every 21st century student should take a computer science class.  Keep on Coding Sprague. 12/10

Attention Freshmen! Do you want to be a leader in your class? Apply now to be a class officer! Positions are needed for vice president, secretary, and treasurer. Applications can be found in Mr. Schueller or Mr. Trammell’s rooms. Sign up deadlines are Friday, 12/13, so don’t wait.12/10

Parent/Player Meeting on December 17th at 6pm in the Library for all girls wanting to come out for softball. 12/17

Kaiser Permanente Health Care Career Scholarship Program application closes this Friday, December 13th at 5 p.m.   This scholarship is available for a graduating senior who has a minimum weighted GPA of 2.50, planning to pursue an education and career from becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant, X-Ray Technician, Physical Therapist, or Dental Hygienist.  You can access the application at www.kp.org/kpnwscholarship . 12/13

Attention current and potential Math Leaguers:  Our third Math League of the year is TODAY, Tuesday December 10th, after school in Room 6, Mrs. Burleson’s room.  Bring a pencil, calculator, and a friend!  Punch and Pie.

Bonjour Sprague, do you want to learn about the French painter Monet and his art? Join us for French club this Thursday December 12th during lunch in room 123 to learn his art by recreating one of his famous paintings as a group. You’ll be painting his art as impressionists along with the rest of the French club members. Don’t miss it! Au revoir and see you there this Thursday! 12/10

Attention Olys:  The Library will be hosting the D.I.Y. Holiday Workshop next week, the 16th through the 20th, during Lunch and after school until 3:30.
Monday: we’ll make Stockings with hot coco and candy canes.
Tuesday: we’ll make Winter Slime.
Wednesday: we’ll be painting Ornaments.
Thursday: we’ll make Lego and Origami Ornaments.
Friday: we’ll be making Holiday Cards and Gift Tags.
Come make something for the holiday season and enjoy refreshments and treats while you work. Sign-Up in the Library and check out the examples we have on display.  Happy Making! 12/13

Congratulations to the #4 ranked Sprague Wrestling team who won the 23 team Tyrone S. Woods Memorial Invitational this past weekend. The wrestlers proved their depth with solid placement performances from sophomores Bo Davis, Quincy Palomo, Branden Buncher, & David Sherman. Freshmen Elijah Byers, Riley Davis, Braeden Barkes, & Seth Carp also placed. Congrats Sprague wrestlers & good luck this weekend at the Rose City Championships. 12/10

Buenos Dias Sprague! Spanish Club is having their annual Winter Fiesta this Friday after school.
