Attention Students:  On Wednesday, October 16th we will operate using an abbreviated schedule to accommodate PSAT and ASVAB testing as well as senior graduation prep work.  Students in grades 9 and 10 will take the PSAT exams.  Juniors may elect to take the PSAT as well for a charge of $16 if paid by October 9th.  Interested students must sign up and pay their fee by contacting our Bookkeeper in the main office.  The cost will increase to $20 starting October 10th.  Signing up to take the PSAT on the day of the test is not permitted. Juniors who do not take the PSAT will take the ASVAB test.  Seniors will use the time to update their PEP and complete their FAFSA form.  College admission counselors and military recruiters will be present to answer questions and to give some guidance on your post-high school plans.  Students, please note that the testing/grad prep day serves as your instructional day and your participation is required.

Good morning!  The Gay/Straight Alliance Club is off and running again!  The first GSA meeting will be held today at lunch.  The meeting place from years past has changed to room 147-that’s Ms. Hogfeldt’s  (pronounced HOEgfelt) room, in the science hall.  It will be from 10:35-11:05, so bring your lunch, ideas for future topics to discuss, and most importantly, your friends!  Let’s make this meeting and club the most welcoming and informative club on campus!  9/18

Today at lunch, there will be a meeting for anyone interested in being an officer for HOSA in Mr. Mahi’s room, room 17.  HOSA is our organization for those interested in healthcare and health professions.  Come learn about being an officer for this great student organization. 9/18

Attention all students planning to graduate early or members of the Class of 2020, September 25th a financial aid officer will be presenting information on how you are going to pay for college.   This presentation is open to all parents and students interested in understanding the process of paying for college. 9/25

Environmental Club is holding it's first meeting of the year this Thursday during lunch in room 149.  Show up and get involved as we plan for the upcoming year, so see you then! 9/19

Leadership is holding a Halloween decoration drive to help us spruce up our look for the Fall Festival and for our halls during the Halloween season. if you have any decorations you are willing to donate, there will be a box in Mr. Schuellers room in 142. Thanks! 10/4

Attention students, the deadline to complete schedule change requests is this Friday, September 20th. All green sheets must be completed with teacher, parent, and student signatures and turned in to the College and Career Center by Friday in order to be considered. Green schedule change request forms can be picked up in the College and Career Center. 9/19

College Visits have started.  All students are encouraged to sign up to learn about specific requirements. Admissions Counselors from colleges across the country visit our campus to talk to prospective students.   This week, the ASPIRE Room will be hosting visits from Linfield College and New York University.  There is still time to sign up. 9/18

Starting this week, the PBIS rewards store will be open on Fridays during lunch in the back of the main office.  Come and redeem your points!  Not sure how many points you have?  Check online or download the PBIS rewards student app.  Are you a CTEC student who is not here on Fridays?  No worries!  Come by the main office and fill out a PBIS Rewards Store Request.  Submit by the end of the day on Tuesday to collect your reward items on Thursday.  Keep earning those points by Owning your Actions, Living a Life you are Proud of, and Saying Yes to Success!  9/19
