The environmental club meeting will be next Monday, the 18th, in Mr. Dey’s room at lunch! Be sure to come by to hear about the new volunteer opportunities we have planned. 3/18

There are several local scholarships available for members of graduating class of 2019.   For example, the LKS Educational Scholarship is open to any student planning to attend a 2 year, 4 year or trade school. The scholarship is valued at $20,000.  Paper copies will be available starting Monday, March 18th.  For more information, please see Ms. Dunn.

Seniors – Don’t forget to turn in your Senior superlatives awards before you leave for spring break. They can be turned in to the attendance office or Mrs. Kleinman’s room, #3.

The Career Connections Fair is an opportunity for students to practice job interviewing skills, interact with volunteers from the business community, have their résumés critiqued, and learn about options after graduation; some students even come away from the event with job offers.  Students will need to have a resume and dress professionally while participating in this event on Tuesday, April 2nd.  This is event is open to any Sprague student in grades 10 thru 12.   Please see Ms. Dunn to sign up.  The deadline is Monday, March 18th. 3/15

Sprague’s 2nd Annual Formalwear drive will be starting on March 11th and will go until March 22nd. The athletics office will be accepting formal dresses, formal shoes, makeup, and accessories for Abby’s Closet. Each donation will be worth 1 raffle ticket and monetary and plus size dresses will count as double raffle tickets for a Dutch Brothers Gift Card. Please bring donations to help local teens in need!   3/22

Congratulations to the three finalists for Salem Exchange Club ACE Award.  The finalist are Bethany Pierce, Emelia James  and Jessica James. 3/18
  
The 18th Annual You Lead Oregon African American Youth Conference will be Friday, April 12th at Western Oregon University.  The AAYLC is geared toward middle and high school students, especially those with African or African-American heritage. Everyone is welcome!  Permission forms can be found in the College & Career Center.  Please see Ms. Dunn or Mr. Harris If you have any questions.   Signed Permission forms are due on Monday, March 18th. 3/18

Attention Graduating Seniors! Are you planning to attend Chemeketa Community College in the Fall 2019.  Do you need to take a placement test?  There will be a field trip on Friday, April 5th to take any Sprague student to Chemeketa for the Placement Test.  Please see Ms. Dunn to sign up.  You must have a K number.  4/1

Chemeketa Community College is hosting a ‘Get Ready for Chemeketa Event’  on Friday, April 12th.   Space is limited to 25 students per school.  If you are interested in attending – please see Ms. Dunn and sign up in the College & Career Center.  4/4

Congratulations to the girls tennis team for their tie against Grant High School. Sprague wins were Eva Hammond at 1st singles, Alexis Murphy at 3rd singles, Caitlyn Joyce and Rachel Bufalino at 2nd doubles, and Olivia Decker and Paige Schmelling at 3rd doubles.

ATTENTION SPRAGUE JUNIORS AND SENIORS! Prom season is upon us! Prom this year is Great Gatsby themed, and tickets are on sale now! You can get an early bird special, $5 off an individual ticket or $10 off a couples tickets up through Thursday, March 21st! Be sure to visit the bookkeeper in the main office to make sure you don't have any fines and bring your 'Dance Agreement Form' to buy your ticket for a roarin' good time! You will not be able to purchase a ticket if you do not have a completed dance form. Forms can be picked up in the main office. Don’t delay and sure to get your prom ticket now to make sure you are at one of the best nights of the year!
