I wanted to address some criminal mischief that has been happening in the community.  The EGG throwing between the student bodies of Sprague and South High.  This has caused significant damage to houses and property.  Salem Police is aware of this trend and will investigate each event and pursue criminal charges.  This would be the time to stop this before any more damage occurs.  If you have any questions please contact Ofc Sevigny.

Snowrider trip this Saturday is cancelled due to a forecast of 2+ inches of rain and 40-50 mph wind.  Participants will be contacted soon for refund or go to room 15A.  Next trip is Feb. 7.  Sign up as soon as possible.

Congratulations to both the girls and boys swim team for their sweep over McNary last night.  The boys dominated their way to a 110-58 victory while the girls edged out the Celtics 88-82.  There were a combined 37 best swims from the Olympians.  Way to go Oly nation swimmers!

Congratulations to Sprague wrestlers for remaining undefeated in league by defeating the number 3 ranked McMinnville 34-33!  The Olys were led by outstanding performances by Jared Hampl, Michael Murphy and Jacob Nelson.  The fight of the night went to freshman Michael Murphey who defeated a state ranked wrestler! The JV's also remained undefeated in league with a convincing 62-12! Great job Olys!!

 Congratulations to members of Sprague Speech and Debate for their outstanding work last weekend at the University of Puget Sound Invitational. Students from 5 states and British Columbia competed at the tournament, and the following Olympians won individual awards. Kate Goldsworthy and Adele Underwood placed 5th in Open Division Public Forum debate. Kate placed 11th in individual speaker points out of a field of 100. Colin Gesik placed 3rd on Open Division Lincoln-Douglas debate. Colin’s performance has always earned him a bid to the prestigious Tournament of Champions competition which is held in April. It’s the second bid Sprague has ever earned. Congratulations Colin, and great job Oly Speechies!

Tomorrow is the Sprague Cheer Clinic! Come learn chants, and a routine to perform at the Varsity Boys Basketball Game next Friday. You have a younger sibling interested in cheer? Your lucky day, the camp is for all ages! Participants will be divided by age at camp and when performing. Forms to sign-up are in the Athletic Office. See you tomorrow!

Congratulations to the Sprague Wrestlers for remaining undefeated in league with two victories here at home last night.  The Olys defeated the Saxons 61 - 12, and the Vikings 59 - 15!  The Sprague JV's also remain undefeated with two wins last night.  Individually senior Corson Davis beat two ranked wrestlers, and Freshman Michael Murphy had two quick pins.  Also Junior Jacob Nelson had two pins last night against tough opponents.  The Olys will have a show down with McMinnville next Wednesday here at home.  Both teams are ranked and are undefeated!!  Go Olys!!


Great job to both the boys and girls swim team last night against McMinnville.  The boys set a new team record in the 200 freestyle relay swimming a 1:36.12.  Congratulations to Parker Green, Colby Evenson, Chase Morag, and Justin Tryon.  The Olympians had a combined 41 personal best time swims.  Awesome job swimmers!

Congratulations to the Girls swim team for their decisive 102 to 50 victory over McKay last night.  First place finishers include: Katie Howard, Kate Stuart, Riely White, Gillian Griffin, and Grace Duffus.  Great job girls.

The boys also had an impressive meet, besting the Royal Scotts 104 to 42.  First place finishers include: Chase Morag, Caleb Cooper, Jacob Collier, and Collin Daniels.  Way to go boys.  


The swimmers return to action Thursday against McMinville, 7:00 at the KROC center.
