Thursday, May 23, is the OLY LUAU! Events start at 3 o’clock with the staff vs. senior basketball game, followed by the junior vs. senior boys volleyball game, both in the main gym. The final event for the night is the junior vs. senior girls powderpuff game in the stadium, beginning at 5:30. Cost is $3 to attend one or all of the events. Lets get ready to rumble!! Thursday May 30th here at Sprague High School the National team from Germany will be here to wrestle the Capital City All Stars. Sprague will have 4 wrestlers on the squad lead by state champion Caleb Raber. Other All stars wrestling will be Yasfy Sorensen, Corson Davis, and Zach Zehner. The cost is only 2 dollars at the door.



Congratulations to the Sprague Girls Tennis team. The girls team of Nicola Young, Meghan Daniels, Hayden Vlhandreas, Lauren Mann and McKenzie Fraser placed 3rd in the OSAA State Championships over the weekend. Congrats to Coach Shannon Fraser on a great effort by those ladies. The team was led by doubles team Lauren Mann and McKenzie Fraser as the duo won their match on Saturday to place 3rd in State. Our softball team will play in the first round of the state playoffs at 5 p.m. at Aloha High School in Beaverton, Oregon. Good Luck ladies! (5/20)

This year's Oly Pageant contestants raised more than 57,000 dollars for Doernbecher Children's Hospital. We are excited to begin recruiting for next year's pageant and all juniors are able to apply. Please go to the Sprague web page or email Mrs. Bucholz for an application. Applications are due on May 17 and contestants will be notified over the summer if they have been accepted. Next year we hope to raise even more money for the children at Doernbecher and look forward to your application! (5/10)

Assembly Schedule

The spring show, The Curious Savage has now opened to wonderful reviews! The Savage children notice mom is acting a little bit off lately so they have her committed. But when 10 million dollars disappears, it is the children who go insane. Starring Heather Kramer, Delaney Plant, Samantha Lee, Macklin Kelly, Eli Van Batavia, Alexander Quinn, Gwen Stark, Haley Brooks, Collyn Johnson, Nicole Wiley and Timothy Ward this stellar cast will have you in stitches one minute, reaching for a hanky the next. The Curious Savage runs tonight and Friday ONLY. This is an absolute must see, don’t miss it! (5/3)

It's time for Luau sign ups!!!! Events include senior basketball, junior and senior boy’s volleyball, and junior and senior girls powder-puff. Sign ups are in Mrs. Bucholz room 161 through TODAY during LUNCH ONLY! You may not have any fees and must be on track to graduate. It cost 10 dollars to participate. (5/2)

Students: Remember that Prom is a formal event and formal wear is required. Boys should be in suits or tuxes and girls are suggested to wear dresses, which must be of appropriate length and school appropriate. Board shorts are not considered formal wear or appropriate. Prom is May 4th. Tickets are $20 per person, on sale during lunch. You may not attend prom if you have any fines; you will be turned away at the door no matter how good you look. All guests must also be pre-approved, please see Mrs. Shirley Sheldon in the attendance office for the appropriate forms.

On April 23rd 16 Sprague students participated in the “TRIGSTAR” mathematics competition that is based on practical application of trigonometry.



• The third place finisher receiving $20 is Cassidy Bollock

• The second place finisher receiving $30 is Bailey Buchholz
