Congratulations to the Sprague wrestling team for finishing 10th at the Reser's Tournament of Champions this past weekend. The Olys were lead by Senior Kaleb Raber who lost a close final match the returning state champion from Grant Pass 3-1. Other placers were Senior Clifford Baxter - 3rd, Senior Zach Zehner - 3rd, and junior Yasif Sorensen - 2nd! This tournament is consider one of the toughest tournament in the nation! The Sprague dance team won first place in the 6A division of the dance team competition at Sheldon High School in Eugene on Saturday, January 26. Their high scores qualified them for the finals of the OSAA State Championships in March. In the advanced drill down competition, seniors Collyn Johnson and Matti Menser won individual honors. Matti Menser was also recognized as an All State finalist for outstanding senior performers. Congratulations to all of the Olyannes! (1/28)

Congratulations to Sprague wrestlers with their win over the Vikings last night at North Salem. The Olys were lead by outstanding performances by Kaleb Raber, Yasif Sorensen, Cliff Baxter, Zach Zehner and Steven Williams. Steven Williams ranked number 9 in the state pinned the number 4 ranked wrestled from North Salem in the first round. The final team score was Sprague 42 North Salem 38. The Oly JV's remained undefeated in league defeating North 53-18! Good job Olys and good luck at the Reser's Tournament this weekend! (1/25)

The Sprague wrestlers defeated South Salem 58-9 last night and lost a close match to league leading McMinnville 36-29. Kaleb Raber, Yasif Sorensen, Andy Aldana and Tony Swanson lead the way with impressive wins! Sprague is currently 3 and 3 in the conference with two matches left. The Olys JV's remain undefeated! The Sprague Wrestlers dropped a close fought 35-29 match to Tualatin last night here at home. The Olys had great performances by Zach Zehner, Cliff Baxter, Dragen Bennett, Michael Everett and Yasif Sorensen. The Olys JV's remained undefeated with 41-21. The Oly JV's were lead by freshman Jacob Nelson who pinned his opponent in the first round! (1/11)

The Sprague wrestlers will host Tualatin tonight in a dual meet. Should be some great match ups - both teams have wrestlers ranked in the top 10 in the state. Come watch #3 ranked Zach Zehner wrestle the #2 ranked wrestler in the state and the #5 ranked Yasif Sorensen wrestling the # 1 ranked wrestler in the state. Congratulations to the Sprague Wrestling team for finishing 11th out 85 teams at the prestigious Las Vegas Holiday classic during the Holidays.
