Sprague Track and Field had a strong team performance in their dual meet at McKay. Standout performances were put in by triple winner Kelsie Gibson in the 100 and 200 meters and a leg on the winning 400 meter relay and double winners Ellie Stuart in the 800 meters and High Jump, and Aspen Deconcini in the 400 meters and as the anchor leg in the 400 meter relay.  Individual winners included Elise Abbott in the 1500 meters, Garrett Jacobson in the Pole Vault, Carter Cook in the High Jump, Vance McQueen in the 800 meters, Wiley Roberts in the 100 meters and Josh Dixon who won the 1500 meters in his track debut. The next meet for the Olympians will be tomorrow at the West Salem Invitational meet.  Our next home meet will be next Wednesday, April 10th.  Please come support your Track Team as we take on McNary.

Seniors planning to attend any community college in the state of Oregon are reminded that Oregon Promise application is still open.  The GPA requirement of 2.50 will be checked at the end of June.  You still have time to submit your application.  As of today, there are 156 members of the graduating class that have been approved for the program next year.  For more assistance, please see Ms. Dunn.

This year the Oregon Department of Transportation has partnered with Portland State University to sponsor the three residential camps, along with the Federal Highway Administration.  This is a wonderful opportunity available to any female student (entering 9^th to 12^th grade this fall) in the form of four STEM-based summer camps. These overnight camps encourage youth to explore urban planning, STEM or transportation policy careers. They are free to students and if you have any questions, please see Ms. Dunn.

Sprague’s 2nd Annual Formalwear drive is on until March 21st. The athletics office will be accepting formal dresses, formal shoes, makeup, and accessories for Abby’s Closet. Each donation will be worth 1 raffle ticket. Monetary donations or plus size dresses will count as double raffle tickets for a Dutch Brothers Gift Card. Please bring donations to help local teens in need!   3/21

You can get an early bird special, $5 off an individual ticket or $10 off a couples tickets up through Thursday, March 21st! Be sure to visit the bookkeeper in the main office to make sure you don't have any fines and bring your 'Dance Agreement Form' to buy your ticket for a roarin' good time! You will not be able to purchase a ticket if you do not have a completed dance form. Forms can be picked up in the main office. Tickets will not be sold during Spring Break. Don’t delay, get your prom ticket now to make sure you are at one of the best nights of the year!

Sprague Track and Field started their season with a meet yesterday vs. West Salem and Monroe.  Congratulations to the team as a whole for competing hard against good competition.  Individual winners were Elise Abbott in the 800 and 1500 meters, Jacob Luna in the Discus and Carter Cook in the High Jump.  A special Thank you to all of the volunteers who came and helped us run the meet like Coach Minyard, Ms. Atkinson, Ms. Barthel, Mr. Rodin, Mrs. Kleinman, Mr. Putnam, Ms. Sorensen and the numerous parents. Please join us for our next home meet on April 10th.
