The Glow Dance for Friday has been cancelled.  If you purchased a ticket you may return it to the bookkeeper for a refund during lunch or after school.
 
On April 17th , Sprague students of color are invited to attend the AAYLC-SK Conference at Linfield University.  This week, students invites will be delivered during 6th period.   This year’s theme is A Call to Action.  The deadline to sign up is Tuesday, March 17th.  For more information, please see Ms. Dunn.

Today is the final day to turn in the Chemeketa Scholars application.  Any graduating senior or early grad with a 3.50 unweighted GPA can apply for this program.  This deadline is 5 p.m.   For any additional updates involving College and Career Readiness,  please follow us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram at ASPIRE Sprague HS.

Attention all Football Players:  There will be a mandatory meeting at lunch today in the weight room.  You will be receiving your summer calendars and next years schedule…so make sure you are there.  The meeting will start at 10:45 sharp…DO NOT BE LATE!! 3/12

This week is Chemeketa Scholars Application Week.  Graduating seniors who have maintained a 3.50 GPA are encouraged to apply for this scholarship program.  Students must submit an application, an unofficial transcript, and confirmation of placement test for Fall 2020 enrollment.   If you have any questions, please see your counselor or Ms. Dunn. 3/13

Congratulations to the Sprague Olyannes Dance Team! They successfully competed at Liberty High School in Hillsboro on Saturday, March 7  by placing fourth in a very competitive Show division. In addition, junior Sonya Frontino and senior Cassidy Sedore placed in the top ten for advanced drill down. The team's next competition will be the OSAA State Dance Team Championships on Friday, March 20 at the Memorial Coliseum in Portland.

The Theater Department’s Spring show Night watch has arrived!  Our protagonist, Ellie is suffering insomnia when she happens to see a murder across the street. But when police arrive to investigate, the evidence seems to have disappeared. Doubting her sanity her husband and best friend intervene but is it enough? When the police, and her own beloved friends are acting strangely and Ellie is convinced that a murder is happened, what lengths will she go to in order to prove her case?  Running March 5, 6 and 7th at 7pm– this is a thrilling show you don’t want to miss.  Can you figure out who is guilty of murder? 3/5 

There will be a Boys Golf Team meeting on Thursday during lunch in the ASPIRE Room. 3/5

Sprague!  Key Club is running our annual Thousand Soles shoe drive from February 18th through March 3rd.  Please bring in new or gently used shoes and place them in the boxes which will be located around campus.  Do something kind for others in your community who may be in need.  If you are curious, or want to volunteer, please see Ms. Harris in room 116.

Congratulations to the Sprague Wrestlers who finished 4th place at the OSAA State Tournament this past weekend and brought home a team trophy for the 4th year in a row. Leading the way for the Olympians were sophomores Brayden Boyd and Brook Byers who both won state titles. Boyd pinned his first 4 opponents and won 13-7 in the finals on his way to his first state title. Byers went 5-0 on the weekend and amassed a dominant 70 match points throughout the tournament. He defeated his opponent 14-3 in the finals. Also making it to the state finals were senior Noah Worthington and freshman Riley Davis who both finished second place. Finishing 5th In the state were senior Colby Hemmert and junior Simon Artunyan (Are-tun-yen). Congratulations Sprague wrestlers on your 4th consecutive state trophy and on another successful season.”

The Sprague Olyannes dance team won second place in the Show division at the dance team competition they hosted on Saturday, February 29 here at Sprague.  In addition, they successfully supported 349 dancers and 55 coaches from 19 teams with 19 performances in front of 813 audience members.  Congratulations to the dance team!
