Sprague’s 2nd Annual Formalwear drive will be starting on March 11th and will go until March 22nd. The athletics office will be accepting formal dresses, formal shoes, makeup, and accessories for Abby’s Closet. Each donation will be worth 1 raffle ticket and monetary and plus size dresses will count as double raffle tickets for a Dutch Brothers Gift Card. Please bring donations to help local teens in need!   3/22

Sprague, do you want to know the difference between a brown tree creeper and a spotted towhee?  To find the answer join the Sprague Birders tomorrow after school in room 149 for our monthly bird walk.  See you then! 3/13

The environmental club meeting will be next Monday, the 18th, in Mr. Dey’s room at lunch! Be sure to come by to hear about the new volunteer opportunities we have planned. 3/18

The Sprague girls’ golf team started the season yesterday at Santiam Golf Course. Quincy Beyrouty finished 2nd and Reese Sherwood was close behind in 3rd. Jasmin Gimmer was tied for 8th and Chloe Elmore tied for 11th. Way to start the season strong!

Prom Tickets are now on sale! Prom is April 26, 2019 at Zenith Vineyard, 8:00-11:00 pm. To buy a ticket: student must be a Junior or Senior, have no outstanding fines and you must turn in a completed SKSD Dance agreement at the time of purchase for each student attending.  Guests have to be approved so get your guest pass form from the main office. Tickets are $35 Single and $60 for Couple. If you buy your ticket in the month of March it is $30 Single and $50 Couple. Tickets can be purchased from the Bookkeeper during lunch and after school.

Students registering for any AP tests must do so today – today is the deadline, NO exceptions.

This week, the Chemeketa Scholars Application is due for graduating seniors planning to attend Chemeketa Fall 2019 with a GPA 3.50.  Please make sure to have your Chemeketa K number,  SBAC scores, high school transcript, and completed application to present to Chemeketa this week.   Please visit the College & Career Center if you have any questions. 3/8

Congratulations to Kendall Hahn for winning the National Cheerleaders Association Battle in the Arena Tumbling National Championship!   The competition was held in Dallas, Texas and this is her second year in a row for being a national champion!  Congratulations Kendall!

Sprague artists dominate once again. In the 2019 Cherriots Poster Contest, out of six possible winners, we have five! Placements will be announced at an official presentation by Cherriots that will take place at an upcoming assembly. This year’s theme was “world car-free day.” The winning artists are: Samantha Breen, Ayla Brown, Raquel Coburn, Chloe Elmore, Mei Tate. 3/7

Congratulations to the Sprague Olyannes Dance Team! They successfully competed at Liberty High School in Hillsboro on Saturday, March 2 by placing third out of seven teams in a very competitive Show division. Their next competition will be the OSAA State Dance Team Championships on Saturday, March 16 at the Memorial Coliseum in Portland.
