Congratulations to your Sprague wrestling team who concluded their season this weekend with a 2nd place team trophy. The wrestlers had 9 state placers and were led by state finalists in sophomore Daniel McClung and freshman Santos Cantu. Cantu won a 5-2 decision in his final match to become the 195 pound OSAA state champion! McClung wrestled great all weekend and finished second place at 126 pounds. Also placing at the state tournament were seniors Evan Spragg (4th place), Dane McKinney (5th place), Spencer Nofziger (6th place), and Tanner Sorensen (5th place). Juniors Bo Joklur (4th place) and Michael Murphy (3rd place) as well as sophomore Landon Davis (6th place) were all state placers as well. The runner-up finish ties Sprague’s best performance in school history and the 2016-17 wrestling team is arguably the most accomplished Sprague wrestling team in school history! Congrats Oly wrestlers on an excellent season! 2/28
