Still need information on Financial Aid?    A Parent/Student Workshop for 11th and 12th grade Sprague students scheduled for today, January 11th has been rescheduled and will be conducted on Wednesday, February 1st starting at 6:00 p.m.  Computer Labs will be available to assist students and/or parents to complete their financial aid applications.  In addition, representatives from Chemeketa will be available to assist you with your enrollment questions and schedule placement testing.  1/31

Sophomores and Juniors, CTEC staff will be visiting Sprague on Feb. 9th at 11:30 am to present information on their programs and give guidance on enrolling in classes.  All interested Sophomores and Juniors will be allowed to attend this information session.  An announcement will be made during your 3rd period class on Feb. 9th and you will be allowed to leave your class to go to the Pantheon for a 45-minute presentation.  Additional information is available in the College and Career Center.  Any student who attends this presentation will be eligible to attend a tour of CTEC that will take place on Feb. 21st.  Parent permission will be needed to attend the CTEC tour. 2/9

Attention Track and Field Athletes, there is a meeting after school today in the wt. room from 2:30 to 2:45.  If you are planning on being a part of the track program, plan on being at the meeting.  Winter Sport Athletes please plan to attend as well. 

There is a field trip scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 15th for any Sprague Senior planning on attending Chemeketa Community College.  This field trip is for Sprague students to complete the Placement Test for Chemeketa Community College.  There are only 15 spots remaining.  Please sign up in the ASPIRE Center.  2/10

The Spanish Club will meet tomorrow, Wednesday February 1st, in room 124 to learn about how Spanish speaking cultures celebrate love and friendship in February. There will be a sweet treat and the opportunity to create a Valentine in Spanish. The meeting is during lunch…see you then! 1/31

Congratulations to freshman wrestler Santos Cantu who won the Reser's Tournament of Champions this past weekend! Junior Michael Murphy finished 2nd & sophomore Daniel McClung 3rd. Sprague finished 8th place in what is Oregon's toughest invitational tournament! Also wrestling great this weekend were Evan Spragg, Jacob Luna, Colby Hemmert, Nathan Quist, Landon Merzenich, Nate Rediger, Austin Schreefer, & Isaac Garcia. Come learn how to talk slang in French and listen to the popular music of France. French Club is also having a challenge this month. Congratulations to your #2 ranked wrestlers for their lopsided victory over 10th ranked McMinnville last night. Sprague wrestlers won 13 of the 14 matches against the Grizzlies--all by way of pin--with the final score being 78-5. They received big wins from Jordan Short, Tristan Friederick, & Landon Davis as they improved their season record to 8-1. Great job Oly wrestlers! And don't forget to come support them next Wednesday & Thursday in their final home dual meets of the season. Action begins at 7.  Free Dutch Bros. gift cards to the student section with every pin. The Olys were 6-1 on the weekend with a 36-15 win over fourth ranked Newberg in the semifinals. They dropped a tough loss to number 1 and nationally ranked Roseburg in the finals. Sprague was led by Michael Murphy and Daniel McClung both of whom went undefeated on the weekend. The Classic is widely considered the state championships of dual meets and this is the highest finish in school history! Great job wrestlers and good luck this Thursday as you travel to McMinnville to take on the 10th ranked Grizzlies! 1/18

Congratulations to Sprague JV’s for finishing 3rd at the Central Varsity Invitational in Independence.  The Olys were lead By Austin Schreefer who finished 2nd! Colby Hemmert, Brayden Pfeiler, Nate Quist , Brian Buntjer, Gejuan Lancaster, Jacob Luna, Isaac Garcia and Chris Sharp all brought home medals for finishing 3rd.  Sprague had 16 wrestlers finished  in the top 6.  Great job Olys!! 1/18

Our wrestlers finished 4th out of 58 teams--including all of the top ranked programs in both Washington and Alaska. Sprague was led by runner-up finishes from Daniel McClung and Santos Cantu. Bo Joklur finished 6th place. Great job Olys! Come support your Sprague wrestlers at their next home meet this Wednesday at 7 pm in the main gym. They will take on #9 ranked North Salem. Are you interested in attending an Ivy League School?  A representative from Yale University will be visiting our campus on Monday, January 9th starting at 9:30 a.m.  Any Sprague Student can sign up in the Counseling Center.  1/9

Still need information on Financial Aid?    A Parent/Student Workshop for 11th and 12th grade Sprague students will be conducted on Wednesday, January 11th starting at 6:00 p.m.  Computer Labs will be available to assist students and/or parents to complete their financial aid applications.  In addition, representatives from Chemeketa will be available to assist you with your enrollment questions and schedule placement testing.  1/11

Due to the schedule change and shortened classes Chain Reaction will postpone meeting until next Tuesday the 10th during lunch. See you then.


Congratulations to your #2 ranked Sprague Wrestlers who trophied at Reno's Sierra Nevada Classic over the break. Our wrestlers finished 8th out of 92 teams--including some of the toughest teams from Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Utah, and Arizona. Sprague was led by 7th place finishers Daniel McClung, Michael Murphy, and 8th place finisher Santos Cantu. Spencer Nofziger, Tanner Sorensen, and Landon Davis all made it to the round of 12. Great job Olys! Come support your Sprague wrestlers at their next home meet on Wednesday January 11th at 7 pm. They will take on #9 ranked North Salem. Free Dutch with every Sprague pin. Be there!
