Have you been wondering…      ‘WHEN CAN I PICK UP MY YEARBOOK?’ Distribution of yearbooks with begin ONLY for those who PRE-PURCHASED.  If you aren’t sure you pre-purchased, you may check the MASTER LIST on the wall by room #141. Distribution of YEARBOOKs will be on the STAGE at LUNCH and bring your ID. The first day, Friday June 2nd we distribute to SENIORS. Then on Monday June 5th, JUNIORS. Tuesday June 6th, SOPHOMORES. Wednesday June 7th, FRESHMEN. If you did not pre-purchase we will begin OPEN SALES on Thursday June 8th. The Career & Technical Education Scholarship will award up to 1020 scholars with each scholarship providing up to $2500 in scholarship funds. Students attending not for profit institutions (community colleges or technical schools) are eligible to apply if pursuing a CTE degree or certificate. Awarded students may request $625 for each eligible semester enrolled to be used toward eligible tuition and fees. To learn more about the CTE scholarship or to apply online, students should visit scholars.horatioalger.org.  The deadline for this scholarship is June 15th.

If you attended Queen of Peace Elementary, you may be eligible for their Scholarship.  The requirements are that you attended the school for at least 3 years, have a 3.5 GPA or higher and have been accepted to a 2 year or 4 year college or university.   The deadline for the application is June 1st.  Copies of the application can be found in the ASPIRE Center. 5/31

June 7th and 8th and then again on the 15th and 16th in the Pantheon actors, singers and dancers are invited to audition. Bring a prepared monologue, Broadway song with sheet music for the accompanist, and clothes to move in. Again Fiddler auditions: June 7th, 8th, 15th and 16th from 2:30-4:30 in the Pantheon!

Do you or someone you know have a prom dress or prom accessories that are not used anymore? Do you want to help make prom an experience for everyone? Than we have an opportunity for you! Chain Reaction will be having a prom dress and accessory drive to help collect items for an upcoming formal attire event.  You can help by bringing items that include but are not limited to: prom dresses, shoes, jewelry, handbags, scarves/shawls, hairpieces or anything else you can think of.  Chain Reaction will be collecting these items during the weeks of May 1st through May 19th.  You can drop any of these items in the Business office, girls locker room or in the counseling office.  For more information or questions, please ask Mrs. Boaz or a Chain Reaction member. 5/19

The Career & Technical Education Scholarship will award up to 1020 scholars with each scholarship providing up to $2500 in scholarship funds. Students attending not for profit institutions (community colleges or technical schools) are eligible to apply if pursuing a CTE degree or certificate. Awarded students may request $625 for each eligible semester enrolled to be used toward eligible tuition and fees. To learn more about the CTE scholarship or to apply online, students should visit scholars.horatioalger.org.  The deadline for this scholarship is June 15th.

The Sprague Boys Tennis won the Team District Championship.
Logan & Judson Blair won the District Doubles Championship.
Sebastian Hammond won the District Singles Championship.
Nate Harder & Ben Whitson placed 3rd in Doubles at the District Championships. Josiah Barkes finished as runner up in the consolation singles tournament at the District Championships.

Exploring College Options is a special recruitment program sponsored by the undergraduate admissions offices of five of the country's leading universities: Duke University, Georgetown University, Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Stanford University.  On Tuesday, May 23rd,  A reception will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Portland for interested students and parents.  You can register for the event by selecting ‘Oregon’ at their website www.exploringcollegeoptions.org.

Rehearsals for Sprague Dance Team tryouts begin tonight! Meet in the auxiliary gym from 7-9 pm.  Rehearsals continue on Tuesday and Wednesday this week with auditions on Thursday at 7 pm.  Audition forms and athletic registration packets are available in the office for completion prior to auditions.  5/15

The Olys did a Great Job at the Track & Field District Meet at West Albany. The Boys Finished in 2nd Place due in large part to the GVC Male Field Athlete of the Year Austin Kleinman.  Austin won both the Discus and the Shot Put.  Also scoring well and qualifying for State were Kyle Rosenau in the Discus and Dylan Smith in the Shot Put.  Keaton Beckmann, Dustin Jackson, Colby Evenson and Jarod Smith ran to a 2nd place finish in the 4x400 Race and will be going to compete in the State meet as well.  Lucas Schnell and Gabe Garcia will be going to state as well as Alternates on this team.  Lucas placed 4th in the 300M Hurdles as well. The Girls placed 5th behind strong showings in the Distance races. Ginger Murnieks won both the 1500 and the 3000, Kaylee Mitchell ran a blistering time of 2:14 in the 800 M and won, Natalia Cedillo Rodriguez placed 4th in the 300M hurdles and Alexa Smith placed 4th in the 400M. Elise Abbott was 4th in the 1500M and 5th in the 3000M.  Megan Sims scored points for the team in the Discus placing 5th and the Javelin placing 6th. Lily Eggert placed 6th in the Pole Vault. Finally, in a big upset, the Girls 4x4 team of Elise Abbott, Ginger Murnieks, Kaylee Mitchell, and Alexa Smith placed 1st in the 4x4 and qualified for the State Meet.  Great Job Olys!!

A reminder that all Varsity Competitors need to bring their uniform and report to the stadium at 2:45 today.
