Hello Sprague staff and students!  Today is National Day of Silence.  By participating in this event, you are hopefully bringing awareness to others around you about today's gay, bisexual, and transgendered youths who are bullied or harassed.  By remaining silent, you represent the unheard voices of people who are underrepresented and who frequently face discrimination just because they are a member of the LGBT community.  Please think about the voices you are not hearing today, and support anyone who is participating in this movement. What are you going to do to end the silence? 4/21

Great job last night Team Sprague Track and Field athletes and coaches! The team as a whole competed very hard against a big and deep McMinnville team. Outstanding performances came from:

Double winner on the Boys side and setting the state's best mark so far in the Discus was Austin Kleinman.  Dustin Jackson won the 200 m in a Personal Record time.  Keaton Beckmann set a PR with the GVC's best mark and won the Long Jump. Lucas Schnell set a PR and had a convincing win in the 300M hurdles.  Colby Evenson showed even more versatility by winning the 1500M.

On the girls side, Kaylee Mitchell smoked the field in the 400M, Ginger Murnieks won an exciting 800M Race, and Megan Sims set 3 PRs in all of her events, the javelin, Discus and Shot put.
Natalia Cedillo-Rodriguez won in a convincing 300m hurdle race.  Sarrah Taylor set a PR in the Long Jump.

A special thanks also to Sprague staff members Lauren Brouse, Brian Dinan, Melinda Kleinman, Pat Pileggi, Joe Rasca, Zach Kramer, Amy West and the voice of Sprague Track, Steve Atkinson.  The Olys travel to West Salem on Friday in the Titan Classic and will be back at Sprague on 4/19 vs North Salem.  Great Job Olys!
