The Spanish Club will be hosting a Cinco de Mayo party on... you got it: May 5th! It will be after school in room 118 from 2:30 -3:15 so plan to stay and take a break from testing! Look for the posters around school for more information. (until 5/5)

After School Tutoring is today in Mr. Harris’ Math Room 12, from 3:00 to 4:30.

Are you interested in joining the Sprague Cheer Revolution?! Sprague Cheer is holding their pre-tryout meeting on May 11th from 6-7pm in the Sprague Library. Tryouts will be on May 19th. Keep an eye out for any posters or flyers and also be sure to check out the school website for detailed information on all tryout dates.

Congratulations to the Sprague Regional Math Team who competed in the 35th annual Regional Math Contest on Thursday.  Individual awards went to:  Kolyn Sadder for placing 3rd in the algebra qualifying exam, Jonas Franklin for best estimation in geometry. Team awards included:  Kenneth Leja and Jonas Franklin for their 3rd place performance in geometry team problem solving, Hannah Taylor and Megan Acosta for their 1st place performance in the pre-calculus team problem solving.  All of Team Sprague for beating out Dallas and South Salem to take first place in the team relay.  A special congratulation goes to Hannah Taylor who is now a three time regional champion in team problem solving. Hannah has been a member of the winning pair in the last three competitions for geometry, algebra II and now in pre-calculus. Way to go Hannah and great job Team Sprague!

Team Sprague Track and Field had a very successful meet yesterday at home versus Forest Grove.There were many great performances and Personal Records set by all of our athletes as we dominated the Sprint and Throwing Events.  Individual performances of note included our Varsity Event Winners.  For the Girls these included: Esther Young who was a triple winner winning the 100 meters, the 200 meters and was the opening leg of the winning 4x100 relay including Kendall Baus, Mia Diaz and Maggie Boles.  Other girl winners included Fab Frosh Alexa Smith in the 400 meters, Taryn Kucey in the Javelin, Hannah Taylor in the Pole Vault and Shelby Alexander in the Long Jump.  For the boys; Jared Gesner won the 100 meters (m),  S.J. Oum won the 200m, and Keaton Beckmann entered the 20' Club by winning the Long Jump.   Tejas Godbole and Daniel Rodgers tied for first in the High Jump, Tejas doubled up by winning the Triple Jump and Levi Long again dominated the throws by winning the Shot Put and the Discus.  Levi entered the 50' club again with his winning mark in the Shot Put.
A special thank you to all of the staff volunteers and student volunteers who helped us run a meet the way they are supposed to be ran---The Sprague Way.

Attention Juniors:  OUS day is coming!  On Monday, April 6th, Sprague will be hosting our annual OUS day.  This is a day where all the main Oregon colleges and universities come and speak to our juniors about their schools and programs. We will start with a general presentation in the pantheon at 1:00, followed by two sessions where students can hear more information about specific schools they are interested in.   We are very excited to have the following colleges coming to visit us:

Eastern Oregon University
Oregon Institute of Technology
Oregon State University
Portland State University
Southern Oregon University
University of Oregon
