The JV football squad took on a tough North Salem team on Thursday evening and came away with the W.  After last weeks game was cancelled Sprague came out a little rusty early and took a slim 14-7 lead to the half.  The second half was a different story;  behind a great team effort the olys found a way to put the Vikings away 35-14.  The JV team sits at 6-1 headed into their final game of the season next week at McNary, come support your Olympians.

Sprague girls soccer does it again.  The varsity team had yet another big victory as they traveled to McNary for their final league game, and they came back satisfied from their 6-0 win!  Katie Howard, Esther Young, Natalia (pronounced Na-tall-ya) Rodriguez each had one, while Maddy Brown struck for a hat trick!  The girls soccer team is now preparing for  playoffs and are anticipating a home game for the first round on November 1st, so pencil it in.  Great job girls soccer!  Also, a big congrats to West Albany girls soccer for defeating South Salem 1-0 last night; Sprague thanks you.

The Sprague Freshman Football team had a great team win 35-26 over the Vikings at North Salem last night.
The Offensive and Defensive Lines had a strong performance.  On the offensive side, the blocking of Brogan Ayres, Hunter Botek, Max Laine, Teagan Quintoriano, Dustin Schreefer, Jaymin Colvin, and Ryan Pena opened some big holes for hard running by Noah Harris and Michael Murphy.    Britton Hemmert and the PAT Team were a perfect 5 for 5 on extra tries and the defense pressured the QB with Beach, Shoemaker, Pena, Quitoriano, Green and Schreefer sacking him multiple times. Please join us for our last game at home next week at 6:30pm vs. the McNary Celtics.

Thursday: Oly Nation Day

Get into the spirit and start planning your outfits for spirit day today, and let’s make this year’s homecoming one to remember! 10/3

"The JV football team fell on Thursday night to West Salem 27-14.  After a tight 14-14 first half the Titans took the lead 21-14 late in the game and would add another to put the game away.  Your Oly's fought hard throughout and just came up short.  Next week the JV team travels to South on a Wednesday night to take on the Saxons and look to get back in the win column. "

Swimmers, meet outside the weight room at 2:45 today for ultimate frisbee Friday. Be ready to run, jump, catch and throw your way into shape for the season.
