"Congratulations to the one and only Kate Goldsworthy for being awarded Athlete of the Week! She was recognized for scoring a career high of 7 goals against South Eugene and 4 more against Sheldon. It is not often that a water polo player gets this award, which makes it even better as she is representing the sport.
Way to go Kate! Make sure you go to their next game the 30th at Illahe. Hashtag: scoooo waterpolo, hashtag: kate worthy-of-gold.

The Sprague girls varsity soccer team does it again! Chalk up another victory for the Olys as they defeated West Albany in their GVC opener 3 to 1.  The rain delay couldn't even stop the Olys on their swampy home field.
The scoring was started by Esther Young and two followed by Maddy Brown.
The goals were assisted by Audrey Pollman and Esther Young. They are now 1-0 in league. Come cheer them on at their next home game next Thursday the 2nd, as they face their new conference rival, McMinnville, at 4 PM.

The Frosh football team had an impressive win last night over the visiting Vikings of Forest Grove.  It was a great team effort in the 34-16 win.  Standout play was put in by the following players---

T.M. Price led the defense with several sacks and some hard hitting.  Max Long and Zach Lovell both recorded interceptions to lead the Olys as they shut out the Vikings in the 1st half.

On offense, strong running was on display from Noah Harris and Michael Murphy.  Spencer Plant hooked up for 2 TD passes, one to Max Long and one to Teagan Quitoriano.  The line of Pena, Botek, Ayres, Colvin and Fosmark led the way for the Olys and totally controlled the line of scrimmage.

Finally, the Olys had great special teams led by the Kickoff Squad, who harassed the Vikings behind the tackling of Feusner, Ortiz, Navarro, Schnell, Parten and Willis.

Great Job Olys!  Please join us next week at West Salem High School, as the Olys battle the Titans for supremacy in the GVC.
"JV football traveled to Forest Grove yesterday to brave the rain and take on the Vikings in GVC action.  The Olys were too much for the Vikings and they returned home with a convincing 42-0 shut out. The JV team is 4-0 heading into next weeks big home game against the Titans."
Sprague's Mens soccer team beat West Albany yesterday 3 to 0. Come out today and support the team as they take on Silverton at 4:00!
