The ASL Club is having a logo contest. The logo needs to have an ASL hand sign incorporated into the drawing. First place will be awarded $20 and a free t-shirt with the winning logo, 2nd place gets $15 and 3rd place gets $10. All designs must be submitted to the main office by Tuesday, Dec. 17. Any questions about the contest can be emailed to Ms. Prairie. The Olyannes placed first in Novelty, third in Pom and third in Contemporary styles of dance. In addition, sophomore Dani Bezley and junior, Rachal Wilhite won individual awards as two of the Top 10 in advanced drill down. Congratulations to all of the Olyannes for outstanding performances!

The health services class is raising money for foster children and they need your help. Please help them reach their goal of $500 dollars to help the foster children find permanent homes. All of you will enjoy your time off knowing that we live in a free country, paid for with the lives of hundreds of thousands lives. Many of us, students and staff, at Sprague have loved ones who have served in our armed forces. We honor them and thank them for their sacrifice.

(11/8) SAT or ACT....which test should YOU take to get into college? Sprague is offering a hybrid SAT/ACT test on November 16th for only $10. This is an awesome opportunity to find out which test YOU will do better on. Go to the business office for more information. (11/12) The health services class is raising money for foster children and they need your help. Please help them reach their goal of $500 dollars to help the foster children find permanent homes. Business casual attire is strongly encouraged. (11/4) Nathaniel Roberts and Riley Hankins participated in the State Cross Country Meet last Saturday. Nathaniel ran 16:13 and placed 20th in the race. Riley ran 17:37 and was 82nd. Nathaniel’s placing at the meet was the best for Sprague in 13 years. (11/4)

Attention Olys! This year marks the 60th anniversary of the annual Salem YWCA SnoBall! The SnoBall is a program that collects dresses for Salem students who are unable to afford formal dresses and puts on an annual dance for all high schoolers across the Salem area! If you have any formal dresses that are no longer being used or have been outgrown, please bring them to Mr. Mirsepassi's room (161) to donate them. The giveaway will be held on Saturday, November 9th, at the Bridal Gallery located at 180 Liberty Street SE. For more information, please see Kim Davis, one of our Sprague student organizers.
