Nathaniel Roberts out ran all of the other boys and won the District Championship. Jacob Atkinson placed second over all. They both qualified for the state meet. Jenna Gross placed 6th in the varsity girl’s race and qualified for the state meet.

On a wet and muddy course we had 12 athletes who ran new all time personal bests. And we had another six who ran season’s bests. Great job Oly! (10/25)

Freshman Prince and Princess are Cody Bell and Jensen Clark; Sophomore Prince and Princess are Wyland Morales and Aireanna Murray; Junior Prince and Princess are Jed Jeffries and Delany Plant; Senior Princes are John Marshall, Jeff Metzger, and Andy Southward and the Senior Princesses are Gretchen Brock, Mackenzie Fraser, and Matti Menser Court will be introduced at Friday's assembly and the Homecoming King and Queen will be announced at the Homecoming half time show during Friday's football game.

The Sprague Boys and Girls Cross Country teams competed against McNary last Thursday. Nathaniel Roberts and Jacob Atkinson placed first and second in the boys race. They raced the two fastest 3,000 meters races in Sprague history. Jenna Gross and Ally Ridling led the Sprague girls. Out of 29 runners, the team had 28 who set new personal bests. Our District meet will be Wednesday afternoon at Bush Park. (10/23)

The Colleges that are coming to visit Sprague this week are:  Linfield College on Monday, Willamette University and Western Oregon University on Thursday.  If you would like to visit with any of these colleges, please sign up in the college visit notebook in the Business Office.

The Sprague Cross Country team participated in the Harrier Classic meet last Saturday.  
Jenna Gross outran more than 120 competitors to win the Freshman-Sophomore Girls’ race. This is her second victory in a row. Ally Ridling, Emma Tornberg and Sierra Savage earned medalist honors. The Sprague girls placed second out of 32 teams entered.  Jacob Atkinson and Nathaniel Roberts led the boys. They placed 7th and 9th over all in the varsity race to earn medalist honors. The Sprague Varsity boys placed 15th out of 32 teams. AND they outscored South Salem, McNary, McKay and West Salem at the meet.  All in all, we had 16 runners set new all time personal bests and eight more who set new season’s bests.  Also, a special congratulations to Nolan Armstrong who ran the Portland Marathon in 4 hours and 30 minutes yesterday.

The Sprague Cross Country Team last Saturday participated in the Nike Pre-Nationals meet in Portland Oregon. About 100 teams from all of the western United States and British Columbia competed in the meet. Jenna Gross from Sprague won the Girl’s 3,000 meter race. Nathaniel Roberts was a medalist in the 5,000 meter races. In all, half of the Sprague runners set new all time personal bests. (10/1)
