Hey Olys! Are you aware that approximately 7,000 families eat from emergency food boxes in Marion and Polk counties? And included in that are over 10,500 are children! 6th period “World of Work” class wants to help and they would love it if you would get involved too! So, they are putting on a contest to see which 6th period class can donate the most food! The prizes ….. YES THERE ARE PRIZES!! ...... gift cards from the Oly Lounge for each student in the class that has the most food!!!! The Sprague High School Art Program won the 1st place award for high school art classrooms in this year’s World Beat Festival Art Contest. Also, two of our students won special awards:
Danielle Loscar won an Award of Excellence High School Artistic Merit and
Aleigha Mattison won 1st Place Overall for High School, which is the top individual honor.
Sprague's over all strong showing was the reason we took first place for Salem-Keizer high schools. If you see Aleigha or Danielle, congratulate them! (3/20)

This weekend was the Oregon DECA state conference competition. Sprague had several winners, including Arika Hendren, who took 1st place in Business Finance. By holding the State Champion title, Arika is qualified to represent Oregon at the National DECA conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. Great job Arika! You have a great future ahead of you. (3/2)
