Sprague's Boys and Girls Varsity Water Polo teams had the classic match up last night against S. Salem at the Kroc Center.
The Girls lost 7 to 14, with Morgan Collum leading the scoring with 4 goals. The Boys won 11 to 9, with Conner Plant leading the scoring with 5 goals. (10/28)

Oly Catering had a cook off yesterday at Kelly’s Home Furnishings. 2 Olympian Groups competed against 5 other Salem-Keizer Schools. The first group – Brittney Chamberlain, Tara Kuhlman, Olivia Dornon and Allie Rickaby scored an average of 55 with their chicken entrée. And group 2 with Matthew Cuellar, Amanda Owen and Taylor Kayman scored an average of 61 with their pork entrée.

Be sure to get a guest pass in the Attendance office if you plan to bring a guest to the Homecoming dance. These must be completed and returned to the office ASAP.

The annual Oregon State System of Higher Education visit is today. Seven public four-year colleges and universities and Chemeketa Community College will have admissions personnel here to visit with our juniors and seniors. In order to attend the event, which begins at 9:23 a.m., students must have a permission slip signed by their sixth period teacher. The general sessions will run from 9:23 to 9:55 a.m. Session 1 will run from 10:00 to 10:25 a.m. and Session 2 from 10:30 to 10:56 a.m..

All current and past chemistry students are invited to be part of the "Molar Express" Train in the Homecoming parade & half-time parade on Friday, Oct. 23rd. If you are not participating in another float, please join us.
There will be work parties on Tuesday and Wednesday next week if you wish to work on your float car at school. See Mrs. Koepl in rm. 150 or your current chemistry teacher if you wish to participate. You will need a box to join in the Train. (10/15)

Last night the Boys and Girls Varsity Water Polo teams played W. Albany at Sprague. The girls suffered a disappointing loss at 8 to 14.
The boys won 6 to 4, with Nathan Smith-Tripp, Conner Plant, and Grant Lemons all scoring. Goalie, Ezri Martinez had 7 saves.(10/14)

Attention all sophomores and juniors who signed up to take the PSAT. Please check the lists in the front halls to find out where you are taking the PSAT exam on Wednesday the 14th.

Juniors it’s not too late to register. There is now a $5.00 late fee, for a total cost of $20.00. The test begins at 7:50. Please remember to bring No. 2 pencils, erasers and an approved scientific or graphing calculator. No cell phones allowed.

A representative from Northwest Christian College will be at Sprague High School on Thursday, October 15, at 11:00 am in the CRIC, to visit with interested students. Northwest Christian is a small 8-acre college located in Eugene, about 40 minutes south of Salem. Sign up in the CRIC.(10/12)

A Day Regular Schedule

Attention all sophomores and juniors who signed up to take the PSAT. On Tuesday the 13th, please check the lists in the front halls to find out where you are taking the PSAT exam on Wednesday the 14th.

Juniors it’s not too late to register. There is now a $5.00 late fee, for a total cost of $20.00. The test begins at 7:50. Please remember to bring No. 2 pencils, erasers and an approved scientific or graphing calculator. No cell phones allowed.

Homecoming is coming up and that means its time to start thinking about the Homecoming Parade. This year we’re encouraging everyone to be involved, so if you have any interest in having a float come pick up the info in room 132. (10/15)

A representative from the Macalester College will be at Sprague High School on Tuesday, October 13, at 9:20 am in the CRIC. Macalester is an independent 4-year college, located in St. Paul, Minnesota. Sign up in the CRIC. (10/13)

The annual Oregon State System of Higher Education visit will be on Thursday, October 15, 2009. Seven public four-year colleges and universities and Chemeketa Community College will have admissions personnel here to visit with our juniors and seniors. In order to attend the event, which begins at 9:23 a.m., students must have a permission slip signed by their sixth period teacher. The general sessions will run from 9:23 to 9:55 a.m. Session 1 will run from 10:00 to 10:25 a.m. and Session 2 from 10:30 to 10:56 a.m. You can pick-up the forms in the CRIC this week.

All current and past chemistry students are invited to be part of the "Molar Express" Train in the Homecoming parade & half-time parade on Friday, Oct. 23rd. If you are not participating in another float, please join us.

Over the weekend the Boys Varsity Water Polo Team traveled to play Medford and trounced them 18 to 5.
The high scorer for the game was Nathan Smith-Tripp with 7 goals. Their record is now an impressive 10-1.
Tuesday night will be our last home game for the season. We invite all who can attend as we honor our senior players. Game will be at Illahee Golf and Country Club pool (our home pool) Girls game is at 6:30 boys game is at 7:30. We will do the Rose ceremony between the boys and girls game.

The Girls and Boys Water Polo teams traveled to Sheldon, and finished with a close loss by the Girls Team-- 7 to 8.
But the Boys Team won 13 to 4. Top scorers for the Girls were Morgan Collum and Tayler Blackman with 2 goals each.
